Square Dancing in the STARLIGHT PARADE!

The PAC sponsors various clubs to dance in the Star Light Parade each year. This year the parade will be on the 5th of June here in Portland. The River City Dancers will be on lead trailer with the Chaps & Petticoats, Happy Rock'rs and the Squaws & Paws on the second trailer. This is lots of fun with everyone getting together to decorate the trailers in all the pretty colors

 
  1. 10am the trailers will be in the designated location ( NW Flanders between 9th and 10th streets) this will to set up the trailers and some basic decorations
  2. 2pm - plan to be on hand to finish decorating the trailers.
  3. 5pm we will all share Potluck Dinner with free Pizza - bring something to drink
  4. 6pm we will clean up the area somewhat and start changing our clothes for the parade.
  5. 8:30pm estimated time for the float to start moving
  6. 10pm KGW-TV to Broadcast Parade from Pioneer Courthouse Square on SW Broadway between SW Morrison and SW Yamhill.
  7. 10:30pm Approximately - All dancers help removing the decorations and breaking down the trailers to be taken back for storage.
Radio Z100 is asking parade viewers to text in the number of their favorite entry to be use in determining the People's Choice Award..Let's give it our all and win that award...
